Review: Hair Removal With Veet AND Giveaway! *

Ah, body hair, you old nemesis! If, like me, you find it a hassle to get rid of unsightly body hair, then this may be the right post for you! Veet has a very wide range of hair removal products, and today, we dabble in a few of their rather comprehensive range.

The Easy Wax Electrical Roll-On Kit is a self heating device that's designed to be used along the legs and arms, as well as the bikini line.

It comes with one refill, some strips for waxing and some finishing wipes, as well as the device itself, the wire for charging and the stand.

The directions are simple - click the refill into place, put it on the stand, plug it in, wait for a bit, roll the wax down, place a strip on the wax, rub it a couple of times, then whip it off and presto! Smooth, hairless legs. There are also wipes that you can use right at the end.

While the instructions are easy to follow, I found it a little confusing that the box said to wait 30 to 40 minutes, while the leaflet proclaimed that 20 minutes would suffice. It actually took closer to an hour for it to warm up enough for the wax to come out smoothly. This is not a device I would use if I were in a rush.

That said, it's worth the wait, because it's mess free and easy to use. If you're new to waxing, or you're sick of dealing with hot water and wax, then this would be best for you. This retails for $39.99.

Wax Strips are a really excellent idea, because it's a wax and a strip all in one. Sadly, like a number of other all in ones (2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, I'm looking at you), they aren't quite as efficient.

You're meant to warm this up between the hands, then peel the strip, so that you get two waxes out of each strip, then place it skin, rub it again, before you pull it off. I found that even as I warmed it up as well as I could, I still ended up with hairs that didn't come off with the strips. This is dependent on heat.

A good concept, particularly if you're travelling, but not as great a wax as I'd like. This is also particularly good if you would like to try waxing, but you're afraid of burning yourself with hot wax. This retails for $17.99.

With hair removal creams, I used to leave it on for longer than the leaflet said, as I would do a test patch and still find it somewhat hairy, so I was skeptical about this claiming to need only 5 minutes.

As such, I left this on for longer than the recommended time, which I DO NOT RECOMMEND, because:
a) It worked incredibly well and I was smooth and hairless
b) I ended up with a small scab on the skin

Definitely something you can use in a rush! Yes, you might have to fend your cat off so that he doesn't get it on his coat, but it actually can be scraped off in 5 minutes! That will teach me to be a sceptic! An unexpected love - I will definitely be finishing this tube! This also comes with a spatula to help with application and to scrape off the cream. This retails for $8.49.

Last but not least, the high precision wax is suitable for waxing your brows and upper lip. Place the tube into a mug of hot water, spread it on the skin, put a strip over the wax, then pull it off - easy peasy!

This is what fuss free removal of the lady stache should be like! This retails for $13.99.
