My favourite way of spending a weekend

Although I don't like living in Japan, still there are some favorite things I do here. Reading at a coffee shop near my house is definitely one of them. Usually I'm quite busy on a weekend as I'm cooking for my family all day, but when my husband is busy working on a weekend, I love spending time at a coffee shop bringing some books and spend a few hours at the terrace.

The landscape from the terrace is terrible and every time I go there I wish it was like London...or Paris or Milan or wherever one of the world's most beautiful places. This coffee shop Excelsior Cafe is the closest from my house, wish it was Starbucks as their coffee is much better than Excelsior's.

I always bring 3-4 magazines / books to read and choose according to mood. Today I brought one book and three magazines including Glamour US, Vegetarian Living and Cook Vegetarian.

I bought this book more than 6 months ago, but hadn't read it yet. I know that I'm NOT one of those creative girls but I LOVE creative things. When I was a teenager I wanted to be a makeup artist for the fashion shows. I was quite sure I would become one, until I gave up on this dream when I was about 23 realizing it was too late. I missed a chance to go study art and makeup in my early 20's because of my family issue, although I was always dreaming of studying makeup in London.

Since then I've tried many things, but recently I realized that I've been passionate about beauty all the way since that time I started dreaming about becoming a makeup artist. I don't know what it's going to be but I'd love to be able to earn my living of doing something related to beauty someday. That is why I bought this book as the background of the author seemed very interesting. She didn't know how to make jewelry but she learnt how to do it by herself and started supporting herself while aiming to be an actress. She now became a famous jewelry designer that Olsen twins love.

Of course you need a talent to become that successful but there's no harm to believe in yourself and try something creative once in your life. This kind of thing goes on in my mind on a weekend, reading at the coffee shop.
