Dove Dry Spray, Is It All That Dry?

So I was recently sent two new Dove Dry Sprays from Influenster in my Vox Box.  I'm not all that sure why it's still being advertised as new, since this product has been around for a little bit now.  I received "Cool Essentials" for woman and "Extra Fresh" in the mens care line.  Both are non-irritant antiperspirant claiming to last 48 hours.  With that claim I have some big expectations.  So, let me break this down.

I wish I had great things to say about this Dry Spray but I don't.  This product is just okay.  It goes on clear but not dry.  It also transfers onto clothes.  After applying this I put on a black shirt and had white marks on it from the spray.  Also while applying "Cool Essentials" for woman  I felt like I needed to be in a well ventilated area.  It has such a powder like scent to it, that suddenly my entire bathroom felt like I had banged together two chalkboard erasers.  I was literally coughing and had to exit the room.  I was surprised that the "Extra Fresh" in the mens care line did not have the same effect.  "Extra Fresh" made the room smell as if mens cologne had been sprayed (not over whelming) nor did it give me the urge to cough.  Out of the two I preferred the "Extra Fresh."

Now to performance, I mean this did claim 48 hours of powerful protection.  This is where this product truly failed me.  I'm not sure if it's due to my PH balance or if this product just does not work.  I could not get more then 6 hours of freshness from this.  I also felt that this needed to be reapplied throughout the day.  With the "Cool Essentials" for woman measuring in height of 7 1/2 inches and "Extra Fresh" 6 1/2 inches in the mens care line.  This is not exactly compact.  Why these needed such large containers is beyond me but sometimes smaller is better.

In the end I would consider this a body spray for the armpits.  I could see myself using this after the gym to run a quick errand or even apply a quick spray in-between events.  I would not use this as my go to antiperspirant.  I would like to smell fresh at least 12 hours though out the day and not six.  Its a great concept and I enjoyed trying it.  Just wished it would have worked for me and I would like to see smaller packaging.  Like I previously stated sometimes smaller is better.
